journey through  the silk road

Jiayuguan : gansu

Jiayuguan (嘉峪关) is famous for the fortress which is one of the main passes of the Great Wall of the Northwest of China. With its reputations and many nice pictures on the internet, I decided to visit Jiayuguan during my Silk Road trip. However, after I was there, the stories of this city impress me more than I expected.

Actually Jiayuguan still has other tourist attractions but I only went to the museum and the fortress. The ticket for Jiayuguan fortress was 110 RMB. for summer and 90 RMB. for winter.

Inside the fortress' area is walk-able. It was divided into fortress area, entering area with big pond and museum area.
